ATHIYA RASTOGI,
CO-FOUNDER AND
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF SNAPWRITE

Athiya has always shared a unique blend of passion for fashion and technology. Born in India, she spent her early years with her grandparents and developed an interest in fashion through her great-grandfather’s jewellery business, later passed down to her grandfather. Naturally drawn to mathematics, she pursued data science and machine learning at the University of Toronto before working as a data scientist for major brands including Mars, Deciem, and Unilever. She also became a speaker at leading AI and technology events, including Toronto’s Elevate and UofT’s Deep Tech & AI: Alumni Innovators event. While researching at UofT, Athiya developed a breakthrough application in computer vision and saw an opportunity to use it to help her family businesses. Together with her brother Aryaman, she identified a major challenge in eCommerce: the inefficient and time-consuming process of capturing product data for clothing. This led them to launch SnapWrite, with a focus on making product data capture faster and more efficient for eCommerce businesses. Today, SnapWrite works with fashion brands, jewelry brands, homeware brands and resellers across North America, helping businesses increase organic growth and reduce manual work, while bringing reCommerce to the forefront. And this is just the beginning.
